The disciples of Lord Krishna celebrate the birth anniversary of Radha as ‘Radhasthami’. The festival is one of the major events of the disciples. For Hindus, Radhastami is as important as Janmashtami.

In Odisha, the Radhastami festival is celebrated with pomp and show at the Shri Mandir Puri and Sakshi Gopala Temple. Not only at Lord Jagannath temple Puri but also the festive is celebrated in all Lord Krishna or Jagannath temple across the state.

In the capital city of Odisha, Radhasthami is celebrated at the Iskcon temple. This year, Radhastami, the birth anniversary of Radha, has been celebrated without devotees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
